Dan Hodges is a blogger for the Tory UK newspaper the Daily Telegraph, whose ever articles seemed to consist of attempts to link current affairs with what he sees as wrong with Labour leader Ed Miliband. Hodges is an embittered ex-Tony Blair supporter who refuses to acknowledge that he no longer supports the Labour party that he used to work for, and who is the son of firebrand Labour MP for actor Glenda Jackson. The Miliband obsession reached such a comic intensity that on 28th August 2013 a Twitter user named @loveandgarbage started a craze for tweeting “Interesting piece by Dan Hodges on what … means for Ed Miliband”.
Examples include;
Interesting piece by Dan Hodges on what the introduction of Scrappy Doo to Scooby Doo cartoons meant for Ed Miliband
Interesting piece by Dan Hodges on what Canongate changing the format of its Myths series midway through its run means for Ed Miliband
Interesting piece by Dan Hodges on what use of CGI instead of stop motion in recent series of Thomas the Tank Engine means for Ed Miliband
Interesting Dan Hodges piece earlier on what sometimes having a nice cup of tea and sometimes having a dark coffee means for Ed Miliband.
Still being used by Twitterers to ridicule Dan Hodges as we speak.
