I’m so happy is a popular soundtrack from a Japanese arcade music video game jubeat knit, which is produced by KONAMI as a part of BEMANI line.[1]
This song has been used in many MAD videos on the Japanese video sharing service Nico Nico Douga (NND) since 2011 partly due to its deeply relationship to a Japanese gay porn phenomena A Midsummer Night’s Lewd Dream.
Origin
“I’m so happy” was writen by a Japanes composer Ryu[2] who has also produced other popular audio tracks for online parody videos: Second Heaven, Ageha, Sakura Reflection and Bloomin’ Feeling. It was first included as a secret track in jubeat knit released on the Japanese arcade on July 29th, 2010.
This song began being introduced to MADs in the 7th music video game MAD event which was one of the small user-generated online events for MADs and held in August in that year.[3] Several MAD videos of this fresh tune, featuring Shuzo Matsuoka[4] or K-ON!![5], scored much page views among in 90 entries.[6]

Meanwhile, the trigger video that led subsequent popularity of this song among MAD editors came from another Touhou related meme Cookie☆ which established a cult following from Inmufags, fanatics of a Japanese gay porn phenomena “A Midsummer Night’s Lewd Dream”. The video “I’m so Cookie☆” was uploaded to NND on October 30th, 2010.[7]

This video having a happy ending by couple’s kissing as same as that of Cookie☆ made a smash hit on NND. So, most of following videos in this series imitate this video’s style and insert random contents, mainly explicit sexual scenes taken from gay porn videos, in its last part. This editing style is called “Cookie☆ Respect” (クッキー☆リスペクト), and this is the reason why this MAD video series is so dirty.
Among over 600 videos tagged under this song on NND[8], more than half of them are MAD videos including over 200 “Cookie☆ Respect” style videos.[9]
On YouTube, some of videos not violating the guideline are reprinted and several YouTube Poops Music Videos created by YouTubers can be found.[10]
