UnderTale is an indie, Role-Playing game created by Toby Fox, and is inspired by games such as earthbound and Mother 3.
History
Kickstarter
UnderTale began when creator, Toby Fox pledged a $5,000 goal on Kickstarter. It later received more than $50,000 and succecfully funded at July 24th. The game will plan on being released in August of 2014.
While still only a demo, UnderTale features multiple endings
Reception among fans
While still in development, the demo has shown great promise and is generally well received by fans, and has the talk by some on 4chan’s /v/ board.
Characters
toriel
Toriel is a character in the game, who is warm and motherly to the player after finding them being attacked. She helps the character by leading them through puzzles and outright doing them for the player.
Flowey
Flowey is first met at the start of the game, he sees the player and acts friendly towards them, then attacking them claiming that in this world is it “Kill or be killed” Toriel then comes to the rescue and saves the player. Flowy also seems to act as the game’s mascot.
