The Green Screen Challenge
During the “Better Know a District” segment on the August 10, 2006 episode of The Colbert Report, Colbert was shown in front of a green screen holding a lightsaber parodying the Star Wars Kid video[2]. The video was uploaded to Youtube and subsequently edited. On the August 21, 2006 episode Colbert Showed Some of these edited clips and announced the “Green Screen Challenge” which called upon fans to create videos based on the original.

Stephen Colbert was born on May 13, 1964 in Washington D.C. and currently lives in Montclair, New Jersey along with is wife and three children. On June 12, 2013 Colbert’s Mother, Lorna, died after long-term illness[3].
