The image is posted whenever a person has made satirical posts such as pic related.
As Reddit harbors so many different browsers that increases every night, it is inevitable that many newcomers may copy the post style to either fit in the trend or make mentally-challenged newcomers more comfortable as they think they are in a community that behaves the same way.
Older browsers have become more concerned that “shitposting” of any form degrades the quality of posts and consequently the whole website, which is why they decided to make a meme out of the said Touhou character.
