The BioShock is a FPS (First Person Shooter) game. Developed by Irrational Games and published by 2K games. The first istallment of the series was released to PC, Xbox 360 and then later to Apple’s Mac OS X, and Playstation 3
History
The first BioShock game (BioShock) was released on August 21, 2007 and it’s gained positive reviews from the critics[1]. The game itself is considered to be the spiritual successor to System Shock. The game’s art style is Steampunk and Art Deco[2].
Gameplay
In the first two games of the series the player is exploring a fictional city, Rapture, first in 1958 when the Civil war broke out[3], the second is in ’66, eight years after the fall of Rapture but in the second game the player is assumes the role of Subject Delta, an Alpha series Big daddy[4]. In both games the player uses a special items called Plasmids to gain superhuman-like powers like Telekinesis or Pyrokinesis. In the third installment of BioShock, BioShock Infinite the main area of gameplay is in an another fictional city Columbia. Which is the opposite of Rapture with the fact Rapture is an underwater city while Columbia is a floating city on the sky. The game sets in 1912 however the Vigors (the modified version of Plasmids) is created after the discovery of ADAM the source of Plasmids, which was after some years of the creation Rapture.
Fandom
The BioShock instantly became the favourite among the System Shock fans. Among the many fan blogs there are some fan clubs in the US, Germany, France and Hungary. There are links on the 2k’s official fan site The Cult of Rapture[5].

Many fan arts had spawned about the Big Daddies and Little Sisters, also about the protagonists, antagonists and the Vigors/Plasmids too.
