The Series is a spin off of the film “Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius” Which premiered in theaters December 21, 2001 and as a television series on Nickelodeon, July 20, 2002 and ended, November 25, 2006
Premise
The series revolves around Jimmy Neutron and his best friends. Carl Wheezer, a 12 year old boy who likes to eat, obsessed with lamas, and in love with Jimmy’s mom. Sheen Estevez is a 13 year old boy who Is obsessed with a TV series and action figure called “Ultra Lord.” Sheen’s romantic interest is Libby. Cindy Vortex is Jimmy’s rival and girlfriend. She was the smartest person in Retroville until Jimmy came along. She is also a avid participator of Tia-Chi and friends with Libby. Libby is a spunky hip hop music loving type girl who is friends with Cindy and Sheen’s off and on again girlfriend. She enjoys funk and hip hop.
History
John A. Davis originally came up with the idea during the 80’s and wrote it down under the title “Runaway Rocketboy” (Which later on evolved into the Pilot.) Creator John A. Davis Pitched the idea to Nickelodeon (with success) to create the film Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius. And later on the spin off The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius. Planet Sheen is a spin off series in which Jimmy’s friend Sheen Estevez accidentally takes off in Jimmy’s rocket After sneaking into his lab. Where he went to another planet by the name of Zeenu where the inhabitants mistake him as a god of sorts. 26 episodes were produced and premiered on October 2, 2010 but got cancelled on February 15, 2013. The series was met with mixed reviews.

The theatrical film was released on December 21, 2001 and grossed $102,992,536 in the box office. The film was met with box office success and critically acclaimed status as well has the TV series.
