Origin
The original tweet was first posted by Twitter account @MohamedKamoul on june 8, 2014, it has however been deleted
although multiple reuploads can be found on other accounts, the most popular being the one uploaded by account @CHILDHOODRUINED gathering 1574 retweets and 1477 favorites

Spread
on December 4, 2014 a 4chan thread was posted with an image of the tweet asking for more, the thread spawned multiple photoshops of the original picture, although the thread was deleted a compilation of all images there were later posted on the 4chan subreddit r/4chan [1]
after the thread the image became popular on 4chan, specifically on the board /b/, and its normally posted on You Laugh You Lose threads
