Star vs. the Forces of Evil is an upcoming American animated Disney created by Daron Nefcy, about the adventures of Star Butterfly, a princess from an alternate dimension who has been sent to Earth by his parents after destroying their kingdom with a magic wand. After a special preview of the first episode on Disney Channel, the series garned some following.

Premise

The show follows Star Butterfly (voiced by Eden Sher), the princess from the alternate dimension of Mewni, who is given a magic on her 14th birthday, but she can’t handle it’s powers and sets the kingdom on fire with it in under a day. After that, Star’s parents decide to send her daughter to Earth, so she can learn how to use her wand, arriving in the town of Echo Creek to live with Marco Diaz (voiced by Adam McArthur) and his family, while they fight against villains throughout the universe to protect the wand.

History

According to Daron Nefcy, she planned doing an animated series when she was a fourth grade student. The first designs of Star were created at her college years, and although the desgin was never modified the story changed during the years. At first, the series was about a girl who though who has magic powers, but this was dropped for the actual plot.^[6] The series was announced on 2014 Comic-Con, and the first episode was premiered on January 18, 2015 as an special preview. On February 12, 2015 was announced a second season for the good reception of the first episode^[1], and on February 23, 2015 another episode was released on WATCHDisneyXD.com by popular demand.
