Rainbow Dash is one of the main characters of the Hasbro animated television series My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. She is a pegasus with a light blue body, a cutie mark consisting of a cloud with a rainbow lightning bolt protruding from it, a unique Rainbow-colored mane, and a proud, competitive attitude.

Origin and Character

The premier episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic saw the introduction of Rainbow Dash as a major character in the series. Portrayed as extremely athletic and thrill-seeking, she is one of two pegasi (the other being Fluttershy) in the main group of ponies, and is often shown flying while the others walk. In episode seven of the second season, she adopts a turtle as her pet, whom she names Tank.^[1]

Rainbow Dash is voiced primarily by Ashleigh Ball in the English version of Friendship is Magic.^[2]
