About

Mikennemonic is a former Let’s Player and currently a Streamer on both Hitbox and Twitch. He tends to let’s play and stream old games and RPG Maker games with a few non-gaming content in the mix. His username comes from a misspelling of “Johnny Mnemonic”. His avatar is of a pianist hand he bought.

LSD: Dream Emulator

Perhaps one of his most popular Let’s Plays and in general, one of his most popular videos comes from his LP of the Japanese only PSX game, “LSD: Dream Emulator”.

His entire Let’s play has garnered 100 thousands of views and has been one of the first videos of the game. It also inspired other Youtubers to LP the game.

Due to his video, the flash animation got notability around certain 4chan circles.

Full time streaming

In late 2011, Mike has begun to do more streams than Let’s Plays, possibly because of his loss of interest in LPing. This marks his transition from a “Let’s Player” to a “Streamer”.

Mike versus Pewdiepie Fanbase

When Swedish Let’s Player, Pewdiepie became more popular, some of his fanbase went after Mike and accusing him of “Ripping off” Pewdiepie for Let’s playing games like “Ao Oni”, despite there being proof that Mike did it before Pewdiepie. In response of this Mike made videos to troll Pewdiepie and his fanbase.

Surge in stream popularity

In 2012, Mike solidified his Internet persona on Streaming on sites like Twitch. He interacts with his chat and even specific people and take suggestions. This is where he manages to get In-jokes as “Stream characters” and quotes in. Certain chat regulars managed to gain fame within the circle here or in one group of trolls case, infamy. His streams also caused most of the chat regulars to take a shot at streaming. In recent times due to his new job as a trucker, he can’t stream as consistently anymore but he manages to do so when he comes back and the other streamers do their own streams until he comes back.
