This Is Fine is a reaction comic of a dog from the comic Gunshow, engulfed in flames. It is used as a reaction to highly stressful occasions where the original poster is trying to stay calm.
Origin
The comic originally comes from the comic Gunshow[1], which has created a group of other memes including Staredad, Dickbutt, Mother of God and I’m Okay With This. The comic which depicts a dog who’s house is burning to the ground, however the dog reacts calmly, as he is slowly shown burning to death.
Spread
The comic’s first two panels have gained much popularity on sites such as imgur and Tumblr for being an accurate and useful description of stressful situations.
In October, user SPIDER_MAN posted the two panels onto /r/Funny[2]. The post received over 1,400 upvotes and 40 comments. The same post also received 4,300 upvotes and 106 comments on imgur.[3]
