Caveman Spongebob is a Reaction Image used in the music board of 4chan /mu/^[1] to show disgust and pedantic behaviour towards certain aspects of music, the image is normally accompanied with the text “>band has 2 drummers”

Origin

The reaction image comes from a still image from the episode 14 of season 1 of spongebob titled “SB-129”^[2], a special episode in which squidward travels back in time to the pre-historic era to discover patrick and spongebob in caveman versions.

The phrase “>band has 2 drummers” and derivates predates that of the usage of the reaction image, the first instance of the phrase being used was in february 1 of 2014^[3] with a constanza reaction image.

The first use of the image and phrase date back to april 12, 2015.^[4]

The image has often become a replacement for constanza^[5] images and its often used with exaggerated statements parodying the original one^[6]
