Nightcore (artiest) is a Norwegians act consisting of Thomas S. Nilsen (aka DJ TnT) and Steffen Ojala Søderholm (aka DJ SoS). Formed in 2002.

Thomas S. Nilse and Steffen Ojala Søderholm started off the first track for a school project they made first CD Energized of 13 tracks using Dance eJay.

After their debut self-titled CD Energized released in 2002, Thomas S. Nilse and Steffen Ojala Søderholm have made Summer Edition 2002, L’hiver, Caliente and Sensaciòn and gave them to who are interested, using the name Nightcore.

After 2003, Nightcore release no more news or release, leaving the only a website with basic information of the band and a Myspace page.

On July 20, 2011 Nightcore created their offical Facebook page.[5] Releasing few more nightcore songs including Astral Plane, All I Want For Christmas Is You, Hater Å Elske Deg and Into The Sky.

During years of disappearance, songs of the group began to be used in different AMV and uploaded to YouTube by various YouTube users. One of the first upload is Dam Dadi Doo used in Kingdom Hearts AMV in 2006, accumulated 700,000 views till now. In 2007 to 2010, more original Nightcore songs had been uploaded, accumulated more attention to Nightcore music.

Without knowing the actual artist Nightcore due to its absence over years, numbers of YouTube users began to mimic the style of Nightcore songs and uploaded very fast temp and high pitched version of songs on YouTube, using the name Nightcore as the style/genre of their songs. Some of the fan made songs were great hits, accumulated millions of views till now.

After the success of fan made Nightcore style music, more YouTube users mimicked the Nightcore style to not only the orignal genre Trance, Dance and Techno but also all range of music genre including instrumental music. Appealed to a even wider range of audience.
