“Jesus Christ How Horrifying” is a quote used in reaction images to describe shock, horror, or disgust in something.
Origin
The original image comes from now defunct webcomic “Horribleville”. The comic[1], from which the original reaction image was created, had been posted in March 29th 2009.
Spread
In April 6th 2009, a Youtube user Shesellssheshells had posted a video[2] based on the comic, from which the quote had originated. Later, in March 30th 2012, another Youtube user ImmaThatGuy had made a video[3] of the quote from the original video.
In December 12th, 2011, Team Four Star, most notably known for making “Dragon Ball Z Abridged”, put in a derivative of the reaction face at the end of the Episode 26, with a voice-over of one of their voice-actors.
The image and its derivatives had been posted on sites such as 4chan[4], Funnyjunk[5], Katawa Shoujo Forums[6], Reddit[7], and Minecraft Forums[8].
