The Brady Bunch was a 1970s American sitcom about a large stepfamily consisting of three girls and three boys.
History
The Brady Bunch premiered on September 26th, 1969 on the ABC television network, featuring the family of Mike Brady (played by Robert Reed) and Carol Ann Martin (played by Florence Henderson), a remarried couple who live with their children from previous marriages. Brady, a widowed architect, has three sons Greg, Peter and Bobby, while Martin has three daughters Marcia, Jan and Cindy who take Brady as their surname. The family lives in Los Angeles, California in a two-story home, which they share with their live-in housekeeper Alice Nelson (played by Ann B. Davis).
Satirical Comedy Films
On February 17th, 1995, the comedy film The Brady Bunch Movie was released, in which the 1970s Brady family is placed in a 1990s setting, unaware that their style and behavior is anachronistic (shown below, left). On August 23rd, 1996, a sequel titled A Very Brady Sequel was released, in which a man claiming to be Carol’s long lost husband returns in an attempt to con the family out of a rare statue (shown below, right).
