Hoe Don’t Do It, also known as Oh Don’t Do It, is a series of Vines parodying a video in which a man dances rhythmically in sync with a hip-hop song while being encouraged by his camera man friend. Remix videos often contain the audio from the original Vine dubbed over FAIL videos or footage of people dancing.

Origin

On August 26th, 2014, Viner ttylctrn uploaded a video titled “Mane Tried to Punk Out!” featuring a clip of a young man dancing to the hip hop song “Ad-lib Freestyle”[1] by Krew-libs while his friend encourages him (shown below). Within seven months, the video gained over four million loops, 86,000 likes and 56,000 revines.

On January 24th, 2015, YouTuber King Vine uploaded a compilation of notable “Oh Don’t Do It” Vines (shown below).



On January 24th, 2015, YouTuber Crey Crey uploaded an extended version of the original Vine video, gaining upwards of 1.7 million views and 620 comments in two months (shown below).
