Senator Armstrong
Steven Armstrong, better known as Senator Armstrong, is the main antagonist of the game. Online, Armstrong has commonly been associated with the catchphrase Nanomachines, Son, often used as a non sequitur response to an unrelated question (shown bellow, left), and the Tony Kornheiser’s ‘Why’ styled Photoshop exploitable 200% Mad (shown bellow, right), albeit gaining a fan following.
Rules of Nature
‘Rules of Nature’is the battle theme for Metal Gear RAY, one of the game bosses. The song has been combined with various footage of over-the-top action sequences, in similar vein to Guile’s and Groose’s themes.
Monsoon
Monsoonis one of the primary antagonists in the game. His nihilistic in-game monologue about memes as units of culturally transmitted information that control humanity gained much online notoriety, with fans eventually associating the speech with internet memes.
Sundowner
Sundowner is one of the primary antagonists in the game, being also the leader of the terrorist group Desperado Enforcement LLC. Online, Sundowner is widly used as reaction image for his memorable facial expresions, and associated with the catchphrases “I’m Fucking Invincible” and “The Good Old Days Right After 9/11”.
